Healthcare SIG will be delivering a half-day education track entitled
Building People-Centric Projects in Healthcare IT,
moderated by
Jay Ress, PMP, Healthcare SIG Director of Education.
Session Description
PMI® defines project success as meeting stakeholder
requirements and expectations. This demands a management approach that
is people-centric rather than technology-centric.
This workshop will teach communication and interpersonal skills that create
a position of strength for Healthcare IT projects and project managers.
This course will focus on proven methods that gain buy in and build credibility
with healthcare executives, with clinical stakeholders, and
with the people who work on the project

Baltimore Lunch-n-Learn
Terry Britton, president and founder of T & C Solutions, has been
asked to present at the Healthcare SIG's education luncheon on July
29, 2006 at the BWI Marriott Hotel in Linthicum, MD. Britton
will present "Effective Project Leadership: Why Technical Skills
are Not Enough." The luncheon coincides with the annual Healthcare
SIG's Board Strategy Retreat. Come have lunch with the Healthcare SIG
Board of Directors, provide feedback into the SIG's education and program
development strategy, and attend an informative educational session. Registration
