Houston, MBA, RN, BC, PMP- President
Chief, Project Management Office, National Institutes
of Health, Clinical Center
Susan Houston's background includes over
15 years of clinical experience in Emergency Medicine before
she moved into Project Management and Clinical Informatics.
She has over 12 years of project management experience with
a software vendor, a consulting company and a large national
healthcare organization before coming to the NIH. Along
with managing a number of projects to support the clinical
research information systems, she has developed and is managing
the PMO within the Department of Clinical Research Informatics
at the NIH Clinical Center. She has co-written multiple
articles and a book on project management as well as presented
at many local and national conferences.
Elizabeth Allen, PMP

Beth Allen has spent approximately 12 years of her
professional career in healthcare, primarily within the
acute care setting for national health systems such as Franciscan
Health Systems, Catholic Health Initiatives, and Mercy Health
System. Beth's responsibilities included the implementation
of a variety of clinical and financial information systems.
Her project management experience also includes work with
Towers Perrin in the IT department. Additionally, she has
provided consultative services on Disaster Recovery/Business
Continuity projects within the healthcare and financial
sectors. Currently, Beth is the Team Lead for staff members
that project manage and support clinical information systems
within Nemours - AI duPont Hospital for Children. Beth is
a member of the Delaware Valley Chapter of PMI, HIMSS, and
is ITIL Foundation Certified.
Mary
Armijo, M.S. CIS, PMP -
Secretary

Project Manager for Hospital Corporation of America
Mary
Armijo has a background in distance education, healthcare
and project management. Her distance education background
started in 2000 with the University of Maryland University
College's Asian Division and continued with New Mexico Institute
of Mining and Technology Distance Education program. Transitioning
to the healthcare sector as a project manager in 2004, Mary
has successfully managed and completed a spectrum of large
scale IT healthcare projects. Mary currently is a division
project manager for Hospital Corporation of America (HCA)
North Florida Division, managing projects for over 14 hospitals.
Mary also is assisting with the management and development
of emerging healthcare technologies to enhance patient care
and improve clinical processes. Mary's project management
experience encompasses analyzing and improving clinical
workflow as well as integrating and managing the implementation
of multiple technologies. For the past year Mary has been
the online education development lead for the Healthcare
SIG.
Michael Allman, RT(R),PMP,CIIP - Treasurer
Senior Project
Manager, Exogen
Michael Allman’s background includes over 15 years of clinical
experience in Radiology/ Cardiology before he moved into
Project Management and Clinical Informatics. He has over
8 years of project management experience with a consulting
company he formed before coming to Exogen. Michael has managed
a number of large healthcare IT projects at facilities nationwide
and has implemented applications from GE, Meditech, McKesson,
Fuji, Misys and Siemens to name a few. He has managed budgets
ranging in size from $3-$36 million dollars. He was responsible
for the finances of 2 companies he founded including payroll
and tax filings. Michael is also a member of SC Midlands
Chapter of PMI.
Marie Medenbach,
PMP - Director
of Development
Senior Consultant, Health BPM
In the past, Ms. Medenbach has been responsible
for synchronizing and monitoring testing efforts for over
25 diverse interface initiatives transacting
with Cerner PharmNet throughout Catholic Health Initiatives
nation-wide market based organizations (approximately 85
hospitals). Ms. Medenbach has also consulted at Memorial
Health Services managing the implementation of over 125
system applications (including Cerner, PACS, Pyxis, Talyst,
PICIS, McKesson, and Lawson, to name a few) for the new
'Memorial - North Hospital' (an 89 bed acute care facility
North of Colorado Springs) which went live in April, 2007.
Marie has held the Colorado HIMSS Program Chair position
from 2005 - 2007 and will continue on the board as the 2007
- 2008 Colorado HIMSS Communication Chair. In April, 2007,
Marie was awarded the 'Spirit of HIMSS' honor and was featured
in the HIMSS Weekly Insider for her exemplary dedication
to industry efforts through HIMSS affiliations. Marie also
works within the Project Management Institute (PMI) as the
PMI Healthcare Special Interest Group - Strategic Liaisons
Lead 2006 - 2007.
Amy Kentera

Amy
Kentera is a recently minted PMP who has joined the Board
of Directors as of January 1, 2008 as the Director of Education.
She is currently the Chief Information Officer at Liberty
Management Group where she has served for 8 years. In this
capacity she directs the computer and telecommunication
activities of 3 hospitals and 23 outpatient clinics. One
of her special projects is the implementation of an EMR
in all of the company's sites. As part of that project she
has designed a computer literacy program for staff that
are unfamiliar with the computer. Prior to working at Liberty,
Amy worked in many areas of the health care industry including:
managed care, health care software and training, and general
acute care hospitals.
Rami Haddad, PMP - Director of Events
Healthcare IT Project Manager
Rami Haddad has over ten years of experience managing complex
projects, implementing information systems, defining technology
strategy, and analyzing governance structure. He has full
life-cycle experience in project planning, execution, quality
control, and audit. He compliments project management experience
with comprehensive knowledge of technology governance, outsourcing,
and integration. He has managed projects nationally across
multiple healthcare organizations in medical academic institutions,
integrated delivery networks, and hospices. Rami is an engineering
graduate from Stanford University. He is an avid cyclist,
runner, and swimmer, combining them once in a while for
a triathlon.
Raymond McIntyre, PMP - Director
of Membership
Senior
Consultant - Healthcare Informatics
Raymond McIntyre's experiences progressed from the departmental
head of biomedical engineering for cardiology at the Cleveland
Clinic Foundation to design and development project lead
at Mallincrodt and then to senior consultant of Healthcare
Informatics at Philips Medical Systems. Ray specialized
in digital image quality standardization and developed imaging
protocols for clinical trials. He also taught the physics
of imaging to both radiology and cardiology residents. He
contributed to elevating quality standards in both the clinical
and vendor environment while responding to FDA audits in
both settings. Ray has an engineering degree and has authored
and co-authored seven publications in the engineering, medical
physics and clinical imaging disciplines. Ray serves his
local PMI Chapter as a PMP instructor.
Michele
Mills, PMP - Past President
Manager, Project Management
Office, University Health Care (University of Utah Health
Sciences), Salt Lake City, Utah
Having spent most of her professional career in the
healthcare industry, Michele Mills has worked at University
Health Care, a division of the University of Utah, Salt
Lake City, Utah, since 1993. Her duties include management
of the PMO and handling a wide variety of projects ranging
from new building construction to public internet access
projects for patients, patient families, and visitors. She
has also been involved in many volunteer activities, including
PTA President, PTA Regional Leadership Vice-President, and
intern for Utah State Legislature Majority Leader Lane Beattie.
During her tenure in state government, she helped the Utah
Medical Association's president to move several difficult
healthcare bills through the legislative process. Michele
is currently the President of the Project Management Institute's
Healthcare Specific Interest Group (SIG), and on the UHIMSS
board as Director-at-Large for Project Management. She is
also working on a Master's of Science degree in Project
Management at The George Washington University.
