Secretary [Member Elected Position]
The secretary shall keep the records of all business meetings of the SIG and meetings of the board, shall direct the distribution of minutes and reports, shall work with other board members to communicate the goals and objectives of the SIG as authorized by these Bylaws, provide support to the vice president as needed and approve all documentation in the absence of the President. The secretary's term begins January 1, 2007 and transitions to vice president on January 1, 2008, president on January 1, 2009 and past president on January 1, 2010.

Director of Education and Certification [Board Appointed Position]
The director of education and certification shall be responsible for the development of educational programs and other activities designed to support members' professional development and certification. The term for this position is January 1, 2007 - December 31, 2008.

Director of Events [Board Appointed Position]
The director of events shall be responsible for managing the logistics and activities associated with conferences, the annual member meeting, regional education programs, etc. The term for this position is January 1, 2007 - December 31, 2008.

Director of Membership [Board Appointed Position]
The director of membership will keep track of all membership lists given by PMI® each month, shall oversee all communications and networking activities ( i.e. newsletters, website and local interest groups), is responsible for managing awards programs, administers the annual membership survey and oversees member retention activities. The term for this position is January 1, 2007 - December 31, 2008.

Each candidate will submit a résumé and letter of introduction, not to exceed one page, discussing why he/she wants to join the board and how his/her background and skills would benefit members and the SIG.

Nominating Committee Selects Candidates: October 2

Elections Open: October 9
Elections Close: October 31

New Secretary Announced: November 6
Training Commences: December 1
